Career in Que (CIQ) was officially launched in September of 2020 in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. With skyrocketing unemployment numbers and a high percentage of workers needing to just find work or transition, it was completely apparent that there was a significant need for this type of service. With so many people unable to find work, several I had reached out to felt that they had easily applied for 10+ jobs electronically, but had never to this day heard back from the employers or were even offered a face to face interview. An unknown fact that many applicants are not aware of is just how important building a strong resume can be when trying to make that solid first impression.  It’s literally the difference between getting that big interview, or letting the opportunity go to someone else! Client's often times fail to realize that they DO have the skills and experience to nail that big promotion, yet do not understand how the Application Tracking System (ATS) really works. ATS is a software app that enables employers to flag certain "requirements" during the application process by utilizing specific keywords and traits. So, what does this really mean to me you might ask? It basically means that this software can completely filter you out, taking away any possibility of your resume even making it to the hiring managers desk at all! This is where CIQ comes in. Having a strong understanding of the most important metrics and implementing the usage of specific keywords will ensure that your customized resume reaches that decision makers desk every time and then stands out amongst the other applicants competing for the position. In the highly competitive world of job seeking, the trends are constantly changing. Although it might sound crazy, each and every resume submitted should be tailored to the position that you are applying for based on the specific job description.

In 2011, I graduated with my Bachelors of Science from Central Michigan University (CMU) in the gorgeous city of Mt. Pleasant, MI. I then continued my education at CMU, pursing my Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree, graduating in 2014. I have always had a deep-rooted passion for helping people, which is why I initially pursed my DPT. I began my career working in an outpatient ortho/neuro clinic, and due to the need to relocate for my husbands job, I then transitioned to a skilled nursing facility. I was then given the opportunity to move into a management role, as a Director of Rehab, which I have been doing since 2016. I have absolutely loved every minute as a Director of Rehab, being able to use my organization and leadership skills to help build successful teams and educate them on how to better themselves, making a bigger impact on patient's, has truly been an incredible journey! My next goal as a professional DPT, is to eventually own my own Physical Therapy clinic! One thing at a time though, right??

As the old saying goes, "If you love what you do, then you will never work a day in your life". It really is actually true! Having the opportunity to help a patient learn to stand for the first time after a major injury or stroke, or to help someone be able to walk for the time in years, is more rewarding than you could truly ever imagine! When reflecting on my career thus far, I realized that throughout my career, both personally and professionally,  I was complimented on how well I interviewed, as well as how impressive my resume stood out to them! I have never went to an interview and not received a job offer. I say that not to be boastful, but rather, to provide assurance to client's that there is truly an art to how you present yourself during an interview, as well as what employers truly are looking for in an applicant's resume! I am fortunate enough however, to have the ability to help clients take their careers to the next level, encouraging them to really chase after their dreams!

Soon after I graduating and having a year of a "big girl job" under my belt and was no longer a broke college student anymore, which was a nice change of pace, I got married in 2015. In June of 2016, we welcomed our first son, Mason, into our family! Fast forward to December 2019, added our second addition our family, our son, Carson join our little chaotic filled world! It's crazy how a child can change your entire world, yet be the single most satisfying accomplishment. I often times tell my patients, it's shocking how having kids "is by far the hardest thing you will ever do, yet somehow, the most rewarding thing you will ever do, yet is hands down the sole driving factor that motivates and pushes me to be a better person". People used to tell me, "you will never be you after you have kids!" I thought they were crazy.... but low and behold, they were right! Yet, I would not change it for the world! Despite the daily chaos of our house, this is exactly what has inspired me to create CIQ. To not only push myself to be the best version of
"me", as a wife, mother as well as Director of Rehab/Physical Therapist that I can be, ,but also to push others to be the best version of themselves!

I would love the opportunity to help you, be the best version of yourself, by reaching for that next big job and promotion that you've had your eye on, but felt that you didn't have the "required qualifications or skills for". Trust me when I say, you will never give yourself enough"credit:" on your resume if you write it yourself. So, let me help you! Let's chat and allow me the chance to show you, how I can help you, you won't regret it, especially when you get that first paycheck in that new job!

I look forward to connecting with you!
